Dr. Chang was born and raised in Taiwan and have enjoyed a wonderful childhood. At the beginning of high school, she moved to the States with her mother and sister and was fortunate to call the peaceful little town of Saratoga, California her home at the time. She then attended UCLA, graduated with double majors in Physiological Sciences and Japanese, and led a fulfilling undergraduate life filled with volunteer, research hours, and life-long friends. She have since decided to pursue dentistry after volunteering in the UCLA School of Dentistry and seeing first-hand how dentistry can bring smiles to patient’s faces like no other careers.
Dr. Chang began her life on the East Coast when she started dental training at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry School of Dentistry. Immediately following graduation, her desire to expand her clinical experience and knowledge led her to pursue a two-year General Practice Residency at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. During the training, she treated a population of patient with compromised medical and oral health, including a great amount of dental emergencies during night hours. She is proud to be able to contribute her experience and offer comfortable and skillful care to her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Chang enjoys puzzles, calligraphy, arts and crafts, learning new languages, and spontaneous hiking and biking trips. She is looking forward to her sister’s new puppy to join the family as her jogging partner. For now, she is happy with a dwarf bunny.
